Sibbu Giri: Confidence Isn't Something You Have Before You Start—It's Built Through Action [Lifestyle & Comedy Creator, 612K Followers, India]

Sibbu Giri Interview

Sibbu Giri

Sibbu Giri has become one of India's most recognizable digital creators through years of consistent storytelling, relatable content, and unwavering determination. But before building a community of millions, she spent years appearing in other creators' videos, quietly learning the craft while waiting for her own identity to emerge.

In this candid conversation, Sibbu reflects on invisibility, criticism, personal sacrifices, confidence, and the message she hopes every young girl hears.

Q. You spent years appearing in other creators' videos before building your own identity. Did that phase ever make you feel invisible, and how did you cope with it?

Yes, there were moments when I felt invisible. People often recognized the content but not always the person behind it. However, I never viewed that phase as a setback.

Instead, I saw it as a period of learning, growth, and preparation. I focused on gaining experience, building confidence, and understanding what audiences connect with. Rather than seeking immediate recognition, I concentrated on improving myself, and looking back, those years played a significant role in shaping who I am today.

Q. Can you recall a painful comment or criticism that stayed with you longer than you'd like to admit?

As creators, we receive all kinds of feedback, but the comments that question your worth or your dreams tend to stay with you the longest.

Early in my journey, there were people who believed content creation wasn't a real career and that I wouldn't achieve anything through it. Those words were painful at the time, but they also became a source of motivation. They pushed me to work harder and prove that passion, when combined with dedication and consistency, can become a successful profession.

Q. Millions know Sibbu Giri the creator, but what part of your personality still belongs only to the girl you were before fame?

My simplicity and my connection with my family.

No matter how much my life has changed, I still find joy in the same small things—spending time with loved ones, sharing laughter, and appreciating simple moments. Fame may change your circumstances, but it doesn't have to change who you are at your core. Staying grounded has always been important to me.

Q. What sacrifice behind your success do you think your audience would least expect?

One sacrifice people rarely see is personal time.

While content may appear effortless on screen, it involves countless hours of planning, shooting, editing, and constantly thinking about the next idea. There have been many occasions when I had to choose work over comfort, celebrations, vacations, or even rest.

Success often requires sacrifices that happen quietly behind the scenes, away from the spotlight.

Q. What is one belief about yourself that changed completely between the beginning of your journey and now?

At the beginning of my journey, I often doubted my ability to lead, create, and build something on my own. I believed confidence was something you needed before taking action.

Over time, I realized that confidence is actually built through action. It comes from showing up, learning, making mistakes, and continuing despite fear.

Today, I trust myself far more than I did when I first started.

Q. If you could have a one-minute conversation with every young girl who feels trapped by society's expectations, what would you tell her?

I would tell her that her dreams are valid, no matter how different or unconventional they may seem.

Society will always have opinions, but ultimately, you are the one who has to live your life. Believe in yourself, work hard, stay patient, and don't let anyone convince you that your goals are too big.

Your journey doesn't need to look like anyone else's. Be proud of who you are, trust your voice, and never be afraid to take up space in the world.
