Moving from a stable career to a passion-driven one is often portrayed as a leap of faith. In reality, it is a journey of conviction.

My own path began in software engineering, while design remained a passion I pursued alongside my profession. Over time, that passion became impossible to ignore. What made the transition possible wasn't a sudden decision; it was years of learning, experimenting, and building confidence in what I loved to do.

My advice is simple: don't rush to abandon stability, but don't ignore your passion either. Nurture it consistently. Invest your time in developing your skills, understanding the industry, and creating value through your work.

When passion is supported by competence and commitment, it becomes far more than a dream—it becomes a sustainable career. The goal isn't to choose between stability and passion; it's to build a future where the two can coexist.

Q. In an era of rapidly evolving technology, what makes timeless materials like stone continue to captivate designers and architects?

In an era where technology evolves faster than ever, the enduring appeal of stone lies in something technology cannot replicate: authenticity.

Stone carries a sense of permanence. It records time, weathers gracefully, and develops character with age. Every piece is unique, shaped by nature over millions of years, giving designers and architects a material that feels both timeless and deeply connected to its surroundings.

While technology continues to transform how we design and build, materials like stone remind us that great architecture isn't driven by innovation alone. It's equally about creating spaces that endure.

What fascinates me most about natural stone is that no two pieces are ever truly alike.

Perhaps its greatest quality is its timelessness. Trends come and go, but stone continues to resonate because it connects us to something larger than design itself—a sense of permanence, craftsmanship, and nature.

I've never viewed analytical thinking and creativity as opposing forces. In my experience, the strongest design emerges when the two work together.
