SRCC Placement Report: 2019-20

Phase 1 of the Placement Season 2019-20 at SRCC concluded in the month of December and the performance of the students has been phenomenal, justifying the faith of the recruiters on the students of SRCC.

With more than 130 students securing job offers through campus placements in the first phase, the average package offered has seen an exponential increase from 7.62 lakhs last year to 9.48 lakhs. New recruiters in the field of consulting, e-commerce and FMCG such as Marico, Gartner, Zilingo and RedSeer have received wide interest from the batch, conveying the variety in the interests of the batch. SRCC stands out from other DU Colleges in the variety and quantum of opportunities circulated and the number of companies exclusively hiring candidates from SRCC amongst DU colleges has seen an increase this year. Consulting continues to be the major recruiter, recruiting 53% of the total students placed. 
As fight for talent intensifies in the placement season, recruiters such as Deutsche Bank, Nomura, Citi Bank, JSW, MicroSave have resorted to summer internship hiring with the objective of offering PPOs to preferred candidates. 
While SRCC continues to excel in its placement performance, it is noteworthy to mention that the students of SRCC also venture into various other fields. SRites constitute a major proportion of student population at various IIMs and the college is slowly developing into an entrepreneurial hub. There exists a lot of takers for post-graduation, particularly in the field of Economics and interest in Civil Service Examinations and Chartered Accountancy continue to grow.
