1. Tell us about your background and journey.
Well, the journey has been amazing. From acting on stage at the age of 4 to perform to raise funds for underprivileged children, it has always been great. I have won several awards as the best actor. I have completed my whole education on scholarship. So, ups and downs were there but we know it's life.
2. Did you ever think or dream of being an actor?
No, I wanted to become an army man. But when I could realize what I want to become I had already acted in 2 movies, "The Blue Umbrella" and "Omkara" respectively both directed by the amazing Mr. Vishal Bhardwaj.
We have a strong bond and he still treats me as his son. But I decided to be in this profession after 3 idiots only. I am very fond of singing too maybe I will do that also.
3. How can one approach their career and have the confidence and belief to become an actor?
Hey everyone is an actor. Like a child who wants cookies from mommy he acts. We just have different stages to showcase our talent and get paid for it. I think in every field one needs a strong dedication and love for what he is doing. There will be failures too it's fine they are good to learn from them don't give up and rise.
For an actor, one must enroll him/herself in a good acting school. I can't deny luck plays an important part too. But one can be sure only on their education and hard work. Good luck to all those.
4. If not this, what would you be doing?
I would do anything interesting. I don't know. God is kind. But yes army and music were on the list always.
5. For a complete outsider with inroads, what advice would you like to give?
Just keep working hard. It's a struggle but that is the beauty of it. You learn so many things. Hey, one life and you must experience almost everything. Never stop observing.
6. What is your mantra of success?
Success is a myth. The journey is so beautiful itself. Well, the mantra always should be All Is Well and Never Say Die.
7. Which is your favorite book and why?
I don't read much, I love to watch more. But I bought one called "You Can Win" by Shiv Khera. Still have to read that.
