Create Content From Heart, Rest Follows - Sahil Jain, Karan Sharma And Rohit Arora

In the past couple of years the earning potential from vlogging and content creation on Instagram as grown substantially but still due to a few bad apples many brands are hesitant to partner up with content creators or pay them a decent amount.

1. Tell us about your background and journey.

We are a group of Finance students (currently pursuing CA and LLB) who are working in different companies and are friends since school.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

We all were foodies since our school days but suddenly on a fine day of September 2016 while chatting on whatsapp we decided to start up a food page as well as a blog to share our experiences with the rest of the world. So right then within the next 20 minutes we brain stormed for a catchy name and created an Instagram page for our blog and have been running it ever since.

3. Is vlogging and Instagram content creation a financially sustainable career?

In the past couple of years the earning potential from vlogging and content creation on Instagram as grown substantially but still due to a few bad apples many brands are hesitant to partner up with content creators or pay them a decent amount.

Earning potential on Instagram is still very limited and irregular for small creator and YouTube still leads the way to content creators to earn a regular sum of money. So NO, as of right now I won’t call Instagram content creation a financially viable career option ( unless Instagram just like YouTube decides to roll out a monetisation policy)

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

One of my favourite creators has been @the_foodie_dad , He is a dear friend and we have learned a lot from him and his experiences.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Inspiration always comes naturally out of our love for the content we post but there is no denying that every idea is inspired from somewhere or the other directly or indirectly. We love to browse content from others creators as much we love our own content

6. What does your typical day look like?

Our typical day starts with us travelling to our respective office and classes while trying to squeeze in some time to create an insta worthy post during whatever time we have free.

Then during lunch hours we browse our feed and see how our content has performed and checkout new updates from our favourite creators. After office hours are usually when we use Instagram the most and reply to emails from brands and create strategy for the next day

7. Which is your favourite book and why?

None of us is much of a reader but if we had to choose one book series that we all love is the Harry Potter series hands down.

8. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Our one piece of advice to all the aspiring creators is to just focus on your content and create the content that you like , followers /likes / comments will follow .
