9 Tips to Capture A Better Photograph

How many times we think that why can we never take interesting photos with our smartphone. Everything looks boring or just a little bland. And we don't want to buy those expensive cameras. Let's see if we can get better shots by these little tips.

Let's get that smartphone out of your pocket and see what it is capable of doing!

  1. Focus on what you want to capture: This is something basic, but we always ignore this simple but essential practice. You should always ask this question to yourself that what is your subject? People should be able to understand your message in the picture.

  2. Get rid of unnecessary things: Okay, so now you know what your subject is, you have it in your frame. Now it is the time to decide what it is that you want and don't want in your frame. Get rid of anything extra or distracting in your picture.

  3. Adjust the exposure: The most annoying thing when taking a picture is, either it is too bright, or maybe it is just too dark. Most of the smartphones have the slider to adjust the exposure. Just tap on your subject and slide that little tool until you are satisfied.

  4. Care more about the brighter side of your image: Yeah yeah, I know, those bright pictures look more pleasing to the eyes. For instance, when taking a snap of the sky, the most tempting thing will be to bump up the exposure so that those dark sides or that hill that you want bright in your picture are visible. But this will make your sky and those beautiful clouds overexposed and will loose most of the detail. A better thing to do is focus more on the sky and make it look good. You can effortlessly increase the brightness of your images and get the details of the darker regions by little editing.

  5. Never zoom: Believe me, never use the digital zoon in your smartphone camera. You'll end up losing a lot of quality. If you want your subject to be closer, move forward and get your smartphone close to the object you want to capture.

  6. Use the highest resolution possible: There are a variety of resolutions available in your modern smartphone. Don't worry if it fills your screen or not, just get the highest possible resolution.

  7. Take multiple shots: Everyone of us has experienced when you take shaky or blurry pictures. Sometimes you don't take a perfectly timed snap. The best thing is to get multiple clicks while trying various exposures and angles.

  8. Stay still: This is something important when taking pictures in low light. Smartphones usually have a slow shutter speed so that it can capture more light and make images brighter. And if you move your smartphone too quickly, you'll end up having a blurry shot. So, always stay in the same position for a few seconds when taking a picture in low light.

  9. Make sure the angle is correct: Angle can change a picture a lot. It shows your perspective or how you want others to see your snap. Don't use the same angle repeatedly. Experiment with new angles.
