I got lot of offers similar to the ones I was doing. But I refused and waited for the right ones to come. It required lots of patience but at the end it paid off.

1.  Shakti, how will you describe your journey? Would you have it any other way?

It has been a fantastic one till now. Lots of ups and downs and lots of learning too! Like my grandfather says, this industry is a pathshala, you can never learn enough! And whatever way god has decided is the best way I feel.

2. You started with small yet important roles, and went on to do such amazing characters & lead roles. How did you make this beautiful transition happen?

I got lot of offers similar to the ones I was doing. But I refused and waited for the right ones to come. It required lots of patience but at the end it paid off.

3. Which character of yours is the closest to your heart and why?

Ranveer from Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi because it turned the tables for me.

4. While portraying characters with grey shades, actors tend to face a lot of flak. Is this demotivating or flattering for the actor?

It depends on the person if they want to take it otherwise. I enjoyed playing negative too. Infact, it’s more fun!

5. A lot of youngsters want to act in television, but are either clueless on how to begin or are tied by uncertainty. Any word of advice for them?

Choose a secure profession and I wouldn’t advice to waste time here, I didn't have that kind of educational qualification, otherwise I would have never entered this field.

6. What are your upcoming projects?

A short film is about to release on 28th October 2020.
