Mirzapur is one of the most famous series in India. The first season was released in 2018 which was a super-duper hit and the audience was waiting for it’s a second season which released on 23 October and that breaks the records.

Mirzapur, an online streaming series has made its own place in the industry and built its unique kind of fanship.

It is a fictional story of a region in Uttar Pradesh and talking about the mob and drug underworld in the ‘Purvanchal region, Mirzapur gives you the international crime thriller you never knew.

If you like shows of the genres of the dark world of crime and mob-like Money Heist and Narcos then Mirzapur is the next thing you should be watching.

When we talk about series first thing comes in our mind is that it will show the reality of the world and many people think of American or European series as some believe that the Indian industry cannot be as good as them.

Now, the interest of youth is changing as they didn’t like the fictional story of the King and the Queen, they like the genres of realistic places which have some sense and little reality.

What makes Mirzapur a worth watching series in India -

1. Pankaj Tripathi in the Role of Kaleen Bhaiya -

Pankaj Tripathi proves that he is not only good at playing positive side roles but also fabulous in other roles. His thrilling role of a Don in the series is a treat to watch. His acting and the answers by his neck movements, both should be awarded. This is one of the best things that happened to Mirzapur.

2. The Setting of Mirzapur -

After the first season which was being called another part of Gangs of Wassepur but it’s a story and the set up was all different from the Kashyap's underrated Gangs of Wassepur, the setting of Mirzapur seems to be the same part and mark for the OTT space.

3. The Nail-Biting Cliffhangers -

Each episode of Mirzapur was perfectly planned and detailed where the creators just flawlessly left their viewers on a nail-biting 4-5 last minutes of every episode which were cliffhangers. They skillfully trap the audience to let them wait for the next episode eagerly.

4. The Female Characters -

Showing the very real patriarchy in the series where women in the series aren’t simply ameliorating the men. Women have their characters quite around with the import constructions for making the plot more to progress.

5. The Cast -

The star cast and supporting cast of this series were amazing with their roles and justified their characters with their superb acting which were praised by the audience as well as the critics.

6. The Simplicity of the Storyline -

The plot of the series is really simple to understand and if the audience is distracted in any case, the informative storytelling will bring the audience back on the tracks within a few minutes. The story isn’t that much difficult to understand as the makers kept it simple for their viewers.

7. Protagonists Aren’t the Typical ‘Heroes' -

As the audience is used to differentiate between their hero and villain in all the films but here in this series of thrill, crime and drama- Mirzapur has no ‘good’ hero-like characters. People in this series are less evil than other and the plot tests the morality scale of their viewers as to who they’re rooting for.

8. Gore and Violence -

The gore and violence displayed in this series were direct and without any kind of sugar-coating which inspire many other series in India. Its simplicity in everything is beloved by its huge audience.

9. Humour-

This series sets humour and comic relief at the most unexpected moments which entertains the audience and a combo of comic, humour, crime, drama and thrill made it popular among the youth.

The style of the comic timing provides relief at high tension scenes especially in a story that is set among gangsters.

10. Colloquial Dialogues-

The stories of crime and drama thrillers primarily endure on the tenet of colloquial language which is used by the characters and dialect that’s familiar to the majority of the North Indians.

The use of such regional dialects and lesser-heard phrases expand a flicker of comedy and rhythm to scenes that seem to resonate well with the audience.

The series is a bliss to the crime and drama lovers of India as we always have seen this kind of genres only in western series but this new trend in Bollywood industry changed the way of portraying a story. The underrated actors are gaining fame on the basis of their skills.

The way of trying to describe the realistic genres to the audience through the series is done very nicely.

Though, people have their different opinions which may or may not be in the favours of Mirzapur as Bollywood industry is gradually taking steps to improvise the episodes and seasons for their beloved audience.
