The Art of Making Food


In the beginning, food making is not just an art as it is a great opportunity to practice the thing you love in your spare time. Everyone is doing his best to have varied days where he does his work, and also manage to expand the time to practice his hobbies. When I talk from a different perspective, I found out that I started cooking to free my mind from a lot of worries that came with me along the day. It is kind of a process of healing and dealing with my own mental stress and anxiety. I found out that everything related to food is an art, I realized that I just should write about it.

What is Art about Food?

When you mix an ingredient with the other, and you know they work together to give you a certain flavor; when you know from tasting food what is really missing about it, you realize that you are not just a good cook, you are an artist as well, because it is like mixing colors in an artistic way that you will deliver good painting or a good dish. Good Flavors are the essence of happiness and joy inside of you, they are related to making you feel at home and feel you are welcomed in any place you tasted that food.

When you make it good as well, you make others feel they are welcomed. Indeed, food is an art and we should think that we can do better when we cook for ourselves next time because it is a special treatment for ourselves before others. When I used to watch great cook episodes, most chefs say that they taste it for themselves before offering it to others. Actually, this is a good life lesson. 

How Cooking Teaches You A Life Lesson?

When I start learning cooking, I had horrible dishes that people hated because I transformed my emotions into it. I could not manage that because I did not like to cook and spend a lot of time doing it later when we have special feasts and I cook, I see how my dishes became better in looking and in flavor and I loved them. When I started living alone, it became even better.


In a time of my life, it was tiring for me to come back from work and cook for myself because I thought it is not necessary and it is really a tiring matter. With time, I found out that I can cook after work because it is nice to do a hobby as well as feeding myself a good meal. In life, most of us go to love things they hate in the end, and they also learn to cope up with things they hate. In this matter, they love to implicate their emotions of hate in something they do not like. This is just like life sometimes: everything you hate, you just should cope up with it. 

Lesson Learned:

In the first process, I loved to watch food-making programs; they are still my favorite thing ever in the world when you see how to cook something nice and delicious. When you see the passion and love of cooks doing their thing with perfection or without perfection; yet, there is a strong sense of deduction in it, this makes you feel it is worth to master some basic simple tasks to cook nicely in your daily life.

It makes you learn out what is the thing that you want to excel as well to do it better with that strong deduction of great chefs in those food networks. Food making programs teach something about consistency, high developed chefs are great chefs that started from scratch to obtain good grades and international cuisine stars. Watching sometimes competition programs and following them one by one shows me how this development from a state to another state is obtainable when we give all of our efforts in the thing we love to get. 

In The End

Cooking food is a channel for transmitting life lessons and personality characteristics. It is also a great picture of showing the cultural heritage and identity standards of each community that can take you to travel spiritually and emotionally to that place. It is great to learn out that cooking food is not just to eat; they have to be respected because they are life and nature.
