Aarit Gupta - Travelling To New Places Also Give Me Good Ideas To Write (Writer)

Aarit Gupta

I believe that to become a good writer one has to learn a lot and also sacrifice a lot. Reading is a key to write successfully. You need to read the works by other authors to check out their styles, motives, flow, and even their vocabulary.

1. Tell us more about your background and journey.

My name is Aarit Gupta and I have a passion for fiction writing. I write crime thrillers and am an author of the book “The Flames of Beginning” which is a collection of 10 short stories. Apart from that I also publish poetries and articles on my blog therustictypewriter.com. I am also an orator and a budding tennis player.

“The Flames of Beginning” was also displayed in World book Fair, New Delhi and Chennai Book Fair in January 2019 where it was highly appreciated by readers. I am also a Global Child Prodigy Awards 2020 winner which recognises top 100 child prodigies from the world every year.

2. When did you decide you wanted to be a writer?

I first wrote some blogs which thrillers and they were appreciated by the audience. They found them very interesting and asked me to publish more. The comments on the stories were positive.

I also read a lot of books and I was particularly interested in thrillers. Because of the encouragement and appreciation I received, I decided to write a book which consisted of murder mysteries. I also used to publish poems on my blog so I even included a poem in my book.

3. Is it a financially stable career?

I believe when you follow your passion then you do not have to worry much about financial stability in that line of work because if you are devoted to what you do then you will succeed in no matter how many obstacles you have to face.

We have many writers in the world who live a financially stable life which means that yes it is a financially stable career. If we work our way to the top and write a number of books which the audience finds interesting then we can earn a livelihood and subsequently do what we love.

4. Who is your favourite writer and why?

Agatha Christie is my favourite author. I am inspired by the way she writes crime thrillers. The stories are very interesting and there are twists and turns in every chapter. I like many of her books like 'The murder on the orient express', 'And then there were none'.

5. Where does your inspiration lie?

My inspiration comes from the books I read. They help me understand the depth of writing thrillers and also my parents have also encouraged to write more. So my parents and the books I read are my inspiration.

6. What piece of advice would you like to give to future aspiring writers?

I believe that to become a good writer one has to learn a lot and also sacrifice a lot. Reading is a key to write successfully. You need to read the works by other authors to check out their styles, motives, flow, and even their vocabulary.

I love nature and I suggest all writers to Embrace the beauty of nature and enjoy being out as a part of your motivation source search. I get the feeling of contentment when I am listening to music. It makes me happy. It creates an artistic atmosphere around us.

Travelling to new places also give me good ideas to write. We meet new people in new places and this gives room for new writing ideas. I suggest young readers and writers to concentrate on their goal to achieve success.

Also, they should avoid distractions while writing and reading. Switch off your phone and log out of social networks while writing.

7. Which is your favourite book and why?

My favourite book is And then there were None which is a book my Agatha Christie. It is about how 10 strangers are struck at an island and are murdered one by one. There is one murdered among them and they have to find out who he or she is. The twists and turns and the new clues they discover along the way is what makes it interesting.
