Dinesh Mohan - I Did TV Then Full-Fledged Offers From Bollywood and South Movies Started Coming (Actor)

Slowly but steadily things started getting out of my hands and there was a question of life and death. I don't know where my strength came from and I decided to fight back and not give up like this. Then I went on a diet and fitness programs with great difficulty and finally I cultivated what I needed.

1) Tell us about your background and journey.

I was working in Harayana Government as an administrative officer then I gave up my job in 2004 and took voluntary retirement. Consequently, there was weight gain followed by depression as I have been a handicapped person for seven years back then.

Slowly but steadily things started getting out of my hands and there was a question of life and death. I don't know where my strength came from and I decided to fight back and not give up like this. Then I went on a diet and fitness programs with great difficulty and finally I cultivated what I needed.

2) What actually inspired to become an actor and what are the movies you acted in?

Actually I was not inspired to become a model and actor at all. I had no idea about this profession and then I had weight loss and I started looking the way I look now. Offers started coming. Someone saw me somewhere and got featured in some magazines and from there I was approached. After that modelling and consequently acting happened.

I did TV serials and commercials as well as web series. And then full-fledged offers from Bollywood and south movies started coming. I started shooting at the end of 2018 and in 2019 they started releasing. First one was with Salman Khan for Bharat then "darbar" starring Rajnikant sir and then "Happy Sardar" came out.

3) What areas would you like to improve during the next couple of years?

Of course I would like to improve on my fitness, my state of mind because I want to be healthier mentally and physically. I want to be more joyful. But I don't have any professional plans as such. I respect my profession and I'm very passionate about acting but this is not my whole life. It's just a minor part of my life. I am managing my life and health very well. So, all my goals are mental and physical.

4) What would you like to teach the current generation?

I used to teach English literature but this one is not my favourite as such. Currently, at this point in time, I would like to teach about being non-judgemental. We judge one another so much based on caste, colour, creed, sexuality, cloth, age etc. I would like to teach this kind of social awareness that how we can respect women, how we can respect others by being non-judgemental.

5) Which is your favourite book and why?

My favourite ones are "Many Lives Many Master" by Brian L. Weiss and "Autobiography of Yogi" by Swami Yogananda. I was going through a very low phase spiritually after being in a situation of life and death. These books told me about what is life, what is death, what is karma, what is soul, what is reincarnation? After reading these books my mind became very Calm.
