How to Create a New Account and Login With Password in an IRCTC App

IRCTC which is an abbreviation of Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation, it is an organization that offers the facilities of booking railway tickets, flight tickets, catering services, holiday packages, etc. in reasonable value for money.

As we head towards modernization with a new goal of ‘Digital India’ the IRCTC website which is now a well-developed app that you can find on Android & Ios devices played a pivotal role. 

Now passengers won’t have to stand in a long queue and waste their precious time to book their travel tickets rather they can do it whenever they want from wherever they want all they need is to do two-three clicks and do the payment and yes they’re done.

But before that you need three things which are necessary to do your bookings, firstly you need a valid E-mail Id, a valid Mobile Number & lastly a secured network because this app has some payment or bank transactions so the use of an insecure network or VPN(Virtual Private Network) is strictly prohibited.

After creating a successful account the Id holders can do reservations of tickets as well as in tatkal, search for train status, check train routes, and even can check their reservation status all with just a few clicks. And the best part about IRCTC is that you can do this all without any extra charges.

Here’s a step by step approach of how to create an account on the IRCTC website -

1. Firstly you need to go to the IRCTC website from your preferred browser - irctc.co.in 
2. Then you need to click on the register tab in the top middle of the web page.
3. Then the redirect page will get you to a form that you need to fill up. It’ll ask you to fill up your details like your name, e-mail id, phone number, age, etc.
4. Then after filling up the form with all details you should check it twice and then you would see a submit registration form button you need to click on it.
5. After successful submission of the registration form, you’ll get a User ID & Password in your registered E-mail ID. 
6. Thereafter you can easily log in to your IRCTC account and use all their facilities without any problems on their website as well as in IRCTC App.

But after logging in for the first you must change your password immediately so that your account stays secured and private.
