1. Tell us more about your journey.

My journey is very strange and maybe inspiring for many who would be reading this article. I belong to a remote village near, Historical but not so famous town Hastinapur- the City of Mahabharata. I use to sell kites in my childhood.

As In our area we neither had public transport nor did we had a very good financial position to afford school bus, so use to ride cycle 22 km daily for going to school even in chilling cold days at a temperature below 5 deg.

I had no one to guide me, so even after too much hard work, I hardly managed to get passing marks in English in the 12th standard.

Things started changing when I got admission in engineering, got the right people in my life at right time, groomed myself, got campus placement, got better opportunities from time to time.

I not only worked with MNCs and Top Brands but also following my passion, became a published author, delivering keynote sessions, training people. So far I have 2000+ people in their career journey.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

Since my childhood I had an inclination towards being on stage, whether it was delivering a speech, singing, or acting in plays. With time I myself started creating scripts for plays, writing speeches, preparing presentations.

In 2014 I got to know about blogging, gave it a try, then started making YouTube videos, and then wrote my book. I am also very active on social media especially LinkedIn and Facebook and regularly post my content. I also host a podcast “The Growing Professional show on my YouTube Channel “Growing professional”

3. You have Authored the book “Learner To Earner” share with us about this as well.

In book Learner, I have covered all aspects which can help reader land their dream job and make a fulfilling career. It has eight chapters in total and has been written in easy to understand language.

I have started with how one can choose the career domain as per their personality type, in the next chapters I have shared how one can develop their skillset and become employable. Then I have shared more than 10 different ways how one can find a job. How one can Nail any interview and land a job has been explained in detail.

I have left no stone unturned to help readers, by sharing tools, tips, tricks, procedures, and best practices. I am glad to share that this book has helped many people unlock opportunities for them.

4. Why and how did you started helping people to get jobs?

I was lucky to get campus placement, but many of my friends struggled, and a few did not get an opportunity even after 3 years of finishing engineering. In 2016, when I had about 3 years of experience and was working with an MSME company, we were hiring for GET and DET positions, then I realized these candidates were not prepared for interviews and lacked in skills too.

Many had a causal approach and some were serious- but did not have knowledge about how they shall present themselves in an interview. This was shocking for me. Now, I realized why experts say that there is a big gap in industry requirements and skills of candidates available in the market.

I had seen many struggling, they had education loans to repay they wanted to support their families, but there was no one to mentor them. This was the day when I decided to something about it- if nothing big then at least small- if I can help 1 person get a job and change his life- I will be successful.

I am glad to share that so far I have helped over 1000 people in one or another way reach their career goals.

5. How do you help jobseekers to get their dream job?

The very first thing is my Book which is available in both paperback and eBook versions on Amazon. I also create videos and post on my YouTube channel “ Growing professional”.

I conduct free and paid training sessions, wherein I guide job seekers not only fresher but also people looking for transition and acceleration, I do handholding and mentor them to ensure they achieve their desired success.

6. What skills does one need to make a career in their domain?

To reach the peak of any profession one must practice the Hard skills and inculcate soft skills. Hard skills are skills that are required to get things done in your profession for example: For a mechanical engineer- these may be machine design and quality control, etc. For sales professional- knowledge of product, market, and competition.

Soft skills are skills that help you grow faster and reach the pinnacle of success, these are communication skills, teamwork ability, emotional intelligence, attitude, leadership skills, etc.

I must both hard and soft skills are equally important and anyone with a strong desire to excel can develop any skills irrespective of where they stand as of now.

7. Can you share the top 5 tips to crack interviews.

Certainly, there are many things to consider while appearing for an interview, here is my list of TOP 5 things to consider:

i) Do proper company research and understand your job description- it will help you prepare answers to expected questions.

ii) Dress To Impress- Choose your clothes not only type but also colors wisely and as per profile for you are giving an interview.

iii) Be there about 15 minutes prior- it reduces anxiety.

iv) Carry your SELLING TOOLS- three copies of your nicely printed resume, passport size photographs, copies of all documents required by the company, notepad, and a nice pen.

v) Practice your body language.

It's also advisable to prepare for FAQs and do mock practice in front of a mirror or with someone in person.

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

This one is tough to answer, actually, there are many. How to win friends and influence people, Who moved my cheese, Shrimad Bhagwat Gita, Influence and Ignited minds are some of my favorites.

But whatever I am doing today, the motivation came from Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam sir's book “Ignited Minds”. In this book, Kalam sir has inspired young leaders who have achieved success in their domain to come forward and help the younger generations. so I love this book very much.
