In a short period of time, the passport and
flight ticket will not be the two conditions that allow you to travel.
Rather, those who want to travel will be
required to present a certificate proving that they have got the Coronavirus
vaccine as a condition for travel from one country to another.
Many airways tend to impose travelers to
have a certificate of receiving the Corona vaccine as an essential condition to
travel in the coming period.
It is expected that many countries will
require travelers to show the vaccine certificates to enter their borders. So,
that the vaccine certificate becomes a new rule of travel rules in the world.
A Digital Passport
Getting the vaccine will not be the only
condition for travel. Also, there is a digital passport that Qatar Airways
seeks to implement from next March.
It is a mobile application that provides
updates of the information which is related to the health regulations of Corona.
The application will help travelers to ensure that they meet the latest entry
requirements for the country they are traveling to.
The first phase of testing the application
of a "digital passport" will begin on Qatar Airways flights between
Doha and Istanbul, to enable passengers to obtain the results of their Corona
test and to ensure that they are eligible to board the flight.
It will also enable passengers to share
their "eligible to travel" status with Qatar Airways and the other
parties before they even reach the airport.
Alexandre de Juniac, Director General and CEO of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Indicates that Qatar Airways is a pioneer in the aviation sector.
The IATA will check
the verify of travelers' coronavirus test and the vaccine certificate which is
considered as the first stone of travel without the need to be subjected to
quarantine.
He notes that Qatar
Airways' experience with digital passports will help build confidence between
governments and travelers regarding the ability of IATA travel permits to link
the traveler's identity with his digital travel documents safely and
conveniently
Qatar Airways
