 4. Who do you admire as an artist?

Mark Rothko, Donald Judd, and others. But, above all else, I admire authenticity, sincerity, and blunt honesty in any creative person.

5.What are tips and advice would you give to aspiring artists?

Embrace that it takes years of failure to have people accept what you do. People eventually catch on. Patience is truly a virtue.

6. How do you overcome creative block?

I redraw something I’ve drawn, line by line.

7. What challenges did you face as an artist?

Staying relevant in a world where viewer's tastes are constantly changing. It’s very important to stay in touch while at the same time keeping your own integrity and focus. Staying naive and to a certain extent and delusional are at times useful to keep one’s sanity and combat this challenge because taste and trends are such a powerful and fickle force.

8. Which is your favorite book and why?

Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoyevsky- it is a tour de force of the human condition
