All you have to do is love and understand the idea of the art of acting through home schooling if not a proper academic process. Acceptance to the unusual perspective of art is the key. Acting demands practice and practice to figure out that unique craft. Practice makes the man perfect and applies in this field too.
1. Tell us about your background and journey.
I was born in Butwal, Terai region of Nepal. I completed my school level study from there. I came to Kathmandu city, hilly region of Nepal in 2008 and completed my engineering degree from Kathmandu Engineering College in 2014.
My journey as an actor began as soon as I graduated as a civil engineer. Back in the days I secretly wished to be on television but never thought it in terms of career. Out of interest, in 2013 I participated in a VJ hunt competition, where I got selected to be a part of a television show.
I had to drop the idea because of my studies. I chose to complete my studies first with a fine anticipation to persuade the idea of being a media personality later. As soon as I finished my studies I was planning to join an engineering firm and work.
In the meantime I got a call out of nowhere and was approached for a movie by one of the most popular directors at that time, Mr. Alok Nemabang (late). As per his saying, the audition tape of the VJ hunt competition grabbed his attention and he thought maybe I could act for the movies.
As a curious child, I grabbed the opportunity and with time I realized that acting is something I love to do. That’s how my journey as an actor began in 2014.
2. Did you ever think or dream of being an actor?
As an actor precisely, never but I had interest in television, to be a TV/media personality. However I had always been an active audience of movies from childhood. If I go back and seek more into my childhood I had always been a kid with keen interest in extracurricular activities. Art and expression was always there with me in many forms.
3. How can one have the confidence and belief to become an actor?
The best way to approach this career is similar to other i.e., to be aware about the idea of having knowledge. Getting a proper education on acting will help a lot, either that be by joining Film College or theaters. Having said that one can also be an actor without having a degree, like me.

More you work, the more you get confident. But belief is a different game. One needs to have this urge to be expressionist. One needs to have passion to express through act. Acting is never about being successful but getting easier with the craft.
4. What would you be doing, If not this?
I would be a full time engineer or might be a TV personality. Sometimes I feel I would get more degrees apart from engineering. I loved teaching. Maybe I could be a teacher.
5. For a complete outsider with inroads, what advice would you like to give?

5. For a complete outsider with inroads, what advice would you like to give?
Believe in your craft and never underestimate your originality. Art is not about being insider or outsider but being wherever you are to be there. Acting is more about the magic of being heard without having to say a word or having to mix into the system.
The day one feels the immense enjoyment in acting, one will never seek for platforms. Platform will seek you eventually. Do what you do with consistency and honesty towards the idea of art of acting.
6. What is your mantra of success?
Success starts from being comfortable in the process of learning and figuring out the goal. Success is the state of mindset where one is confident enough to achieve that goal by doing what you actually love to do.
7. Which is your favorite book and why?
I have not been reading much these days or there aren't any that I remember as a favorite one. I am reading “For the love of a son” by Jean Sasson recently. This book has a deep flavor of Islamic culture which I could have never imagined through any other source.

I believe this because the book has a cinematic flavor of a beautiful story. It is about motherhood and motherhood is a mutual feeling irrespective of different cultures and geography.
