Nowadays many of them get addicted to these dramas, even I am also one of them. This article is for people who get confused between these dramas they think both are Korean or Chinese dramas. Many people would be wondering which drama can be watched first because the first impression is very important right?

This article is the entire review of these types of dramas because I have watched many of these during the lockdown. Both the type of dramas are very interesting and entertaining, I feel they do great production in drama. I am not sure about other language dramas because I am imprisoned in K-drama and C-drama.

Here there are some major consistent or regular differences that can be seen between these 2 types of dramas

1. Type of Genre:

If we talk about this aspect both the dramas are best in all the types of genre. C-drama is amazing in historical and fantasy type of drama. In K-drama, they are perfect for the modern and romantic type of dramas.

Usually, C-drama is amazing in historical or fantasy drama. Most of the best fantasy dramas can be seen in C-drama like “ashes of love”, “The untamed” and “Eternal Love”. There are still many more dramas that can be listed. In C-drama, they give more focus on art and set design like they even include wide or large shots in historical dramas. We can feel the richness in their fantasy drama.

There are even historical K-drama like “Hwarang” and “Mr. Queen” are my favorite historical K-drama. These two dramas are best in humor and comedy. I like this historical K-drama even though they won’t focus on design but for fun, you should watch.

But K-drama does have much strength as I said in a modern and romantic drama. There are many dramas that can be listed out like “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God”, “W” and “True Beauty” etc. They are better in story-telling as well as the story- shaping. Their plots are more compelling and it is interesting to watch the characters.

2. Duration:

If we talk about the time duration, C-drama will take pretty long, they will drag to 30-60 episodes but each episode's duration would be 30-45 minutes. In Korean drama, they have 16-17 dramas with nearly one-hour duration for each episode

Here the main disadvantage is Chinese drama would air even 2 episodes per day, but Korean dramas would air 2 episodes per week.

3. The Portrayal of Women:

When you read this word, you might have to think about what I there talk about the portrayal of women in these dramas. I would say many things can be noticed in this aspect.

From my perspective C-dramas, I think I think women are really strong leads even in historical dramas always women lead is in strong. If we take modern type C-drama they mostly clumsy or dependent way, I think so.

In K-drama, they go either way, from the beginning you can guess, how it will end. Here women are really tough women. I think K-drama gives a wide array of descriptions of womanhood. This is just my point of view.

Recommended Dramas to be watched:

In K-drama the best dramas from my point of view are “while you are sleeping”, “Boys over flowers”, “What’s wrong with Secretary Kim”, “Strong woman Do Bong Soon” etc. In C-drama “Skate into Love”, “When We Were Young”, “The Romance of Tiger and Rose”. So I first recommend watching these dramas and the above dramas I mentioned so that you would get interested even more.
