1. Tell us about yourself and your profession

I was born and bought up in Ahmedabad, Gujarat in a big, loved family. We are two sisters, I am the youngest.

I feel my profession chose me first. I finished my schooling till 12th grade and due to family reason there was no scope of studying further (thank god for that) so I joined a local dance class and my journey began.

Growing up in a family where art was very much accepted and promoted, I knew I would be making my future in that area.

Currently I’m a pole dancer, aerial instructor and performer, dancer and a strength and flexibility coach. Its a lovely field to be in since all of these forms are inter connected.

2. What is your fitness mantra?

I workout to honour my body. The human body is capable of such incredible things.

My fitness mantra is to stay hungry and keep testing my limits!

3. Is format training required in pole dancing or can one train themselves based on pure talent?

There is this popular saying, “hard work beats talent if talent doesn’t work hard”

There is no age or size or gender limit to pole dancing, anyone can train themselves if they are passionate about it and ready to work hard.

4. How can one build a healthy lifestyle?

Always start with one unhealthy habit at a time rather than flipping your lifestyle completely. For example: Start with an easy to achieve habit, keep at it for a month.

Then add another habit, stay true to those two habits. Slowly keep adding new healthier habits. This will ensure seamless transition to a much healthier lifestyle without scaring yourself.

5. How can one build successful career in your field?

To build a successful career in my field, you need to keep on training, there is always someone better than you in this world, go to them, learn under them and upgrade yourself. When you are upgraded as a teacher the students follow.

Plus the extra training and learning helps in your performance and confidence. The moment you stop learning (no matter how successful you are) you are going backwards!

Keep learning, stay updated and adapt to the changes.

6. How can diets and exercises contribute to overall well being and happiness?

You 100% feel better if you eat better. Having a healthy, hearty meal will keep you energised rather than meals that are loaded with unhealthy, processed fats.

The rush you get after an intense workout is great. You definitely sleep better when you workout ensuring body recovery.

7. Which is your favourite book and why?

I am so happy to answer this question. My current favourite book is “Mind Gym” by Gary mack and david casstevens.

This book is for all the athletes out there. It talks about the athlete’s mindset, discipline and how we can access our strength just by having a winners mindset.
