Mudita Kaur - Every Single Time I've Achieved Something Has Always Been the Greatest Achievement for Me (Zee Punjabi Antakshari Winner From India)

When it comes to the creation of music, like writing something or composing something then this is something that is directly created by the supreme power of Almighty. I can only write or compose when I feel so connected with this supreme power and that gives me the best of all.

1. Tell us more about your background and journey.

Hello. This is Mudita Kaur. Basically, I am from Delhi. Belong to a Punjabi family.

a devotee of Sant Nirankari mission. I am a singer by profession. Talking about my journey. The journey was full of challenges and experiences. The challenges have helped me become the person I am right now. As said, experiences are the only way for success.

2. When did you first decide you wanted to pursue music and how did you start.

When I was too young I liked to dance and sing both. I used to sing duets in our congregations. At that time I wasn't clear about my profession whether I'd be pursuing music or dancing. But a quick decision changed my mind. In 2014 I got an opportunity to perform in Voice of Punjab Chhota Champ (Season 1).

I gave my audition without any professional training. And surprisingly I got selected for the mega-round. That small achievement was enough to take me on the right path. After this incident, I decided to learn music. So that was the incident that made me what I am today.

3. How would you describe the music that you typically create?

As a music composer and writer, I believe that music for me is something that goes with vibes or energies. Music is the only way to make you feel better for whatever is happening in your life. If you are happy or sad, the only way to justify the situation or emotions you are having is music only

4. What do you think your greatest achievement has been?

Achievements are neither big nor small. Every single time I've achieved something has always been the greatest achievement for me. Because every single thing I've done has taught me something new.

But. I would like to share an incident of my journey till now. I was in 12th standard. At that point in time, I won 7 awards for my school in a single month.

2 district level singing competition

1 zonal level singing competition

2 cultural singing competition

And last but not the least 2 inter-school competitions.

And after winning all of the competitions. I came from my last competition music having a trophy in my hand and went to the office, the school was about to close only principal ma'am was there, when she saw me outside she called me in and asked me to call my father the next day in the school.

At first, I got a bit tensed that what happened, did I do something wrong or what. But afterwards, she said that our school management has decided to give you a scholarship for this last year of your school and inform your dad to take the check back which he had given. And I was the one to date who got a scholarship in the school ever. Otherwise, there wasn't any scholarships kind of rule. After listening this i got tears in my eyes and just called my father and gave him the news

That was the actual Real Achievement of my life because, at that time, that was much needed for my Father and the whole family because of some financial downs. So i think that was the best I could ever be served with. And I'm so greatful to the Nirankar for such an immense love.

And the blessings kept on continuing and is still continued . I got many chance to appear in Reality shows:

1. I've done VOICE OF PUNJAB CHOTA CHAMP SEASON 1 in 2014.

2. NIKKIE AWAAZ PUNJAB DI SEASON 2 in 2015. (quarterfinalist)

3. In 2020, VOICE OF PUNJAB SEASON 11 (semifinalist)

4. In recent time, that is 2021, i won a reality show, ZEE PUNJABI ANTAKSHARI Along with my sister.

5. Who are some of your favourite composers, musicians and band from the past and present.

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is, was and always will be my favourite singer for Sufi songs, also Gulam Ali Ji for ghazals. And i've learnt alot from them not as a person but from their recordings etc. And I personally like all the singers.
