  • The statue of unity, a tribute to India Independence - era leader Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is the Tallest Statue in the world.
  • Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was our 'first deputy Prime minister and Home minister'.
  • History called him "The Iron Man Of India" - 'The Great Unifier'.
  • On 31st October 2013, Shri Narendra Modi led the foundation for this statue.
  • The statue is about "182m (597 ft) tall" and it is located at the Narmada Valley at Gujarat in India.

  • The Spring Temple Buddha is the second largest statue in the world.
  • This temple was built between 1997 - 2008 which stands at 128m (420 ft), this includes the 20m (66 ft) lotus throne.
  • Also including the pedestal of 25m, the monument has a total height of 153m (502 ft).
  • The Spring Temple Buddha statue is located in the Fodushan Scenic Area at Henan province in China.
  • This statue was constructed in 2002 after the Buddhas of Bamyan in Afghanistan were destroyed using dynamite by the Taliban in 2001.

  • The name of this standing Buddha is called Laykyun Sekkya.
  • This is the third largest statue of Gautama Buddha and it is the second tallest Buddha monument.
  • Laykyun Sekkya is 116m (381 ft) tall and is located at Khatakan Taung near Monywa in Myanmar. This is one of the major tourist places in Myanmar.
  • The construction of this statue started in 1996 and got completed on 21 February 2008 which was built by "Bodhi Tahtaung Sayadaw".
  • Reportedly the construction of this statue nearly took 12 years and was officially opened in 2008.
  • Laykyun Sekkya is built in a hollow type in which we can climb by stairs inside the structure to see the panoramic view.

  • Ushiku Daibutsu is located in Ushiku, Ibaraki prefecture in Japan.
  • Ushiku Daibutsu statue is 120m tall and weighs about 4000 tons which were built by Otani Kosho.
  • This statue was built to commemorate the area's connection to shiran - the founder of the Jodo Shinshu Buddhism.
  • This statue is also known as Ushiku ARACADIA - (Amida's Radiance And Compassion Actually Developing and Illuminating Area)
  • Ushiku Daibutsu holds the Guinness record for the largest bronze Buddha statue in the world.

  • Sendai Dai Kannon is the fifth tallest statue in the world.
  • The Kannon is a Japanese name for Bodhisattva which means "Buddhist Goddess of mercy".
  • This is the towering statue of the gem - Bearing Nyoirin Kannon in Sendai.
  • Sendai Dai Kannon statue is 100m (340 ft) tall and the construction of this Statue got completed on September 1, 1991
  • Sendai Dai Kannon is the tallest statue of Goddess in Japan.
  • She is called the Goddess of Mercy as she holds the wishing gem in her right hand.
