Lights, camera, action!!!
The industry of glitz and glam, the powerhouse of emotions, success stories, and glory. The hub of pomp and show, controversies, drama, and scams. You name it, Bollywood has it all.
The Bollywood stars know how to stir conversations by just making the smallest move. The entertainment industry is ruled by 3 things as the name suggests:
Entertainment!
Entertainment!
Entertainment!
So, hold onto your seatbelts, and let's dive into the pool of extravaganza of cinema. 2021 has arrived! Let's talk about the recent topics of the industry.
1. Mandira Bedi removes her profile picture from Instagram and shares a pic with her late husband Raj Kaushal. She performs the cremation rituals and gets trolled by the masses.
2. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao get divorced and still resides in the same house. Their video goes viral on the internet and is an invite for controversy
3. Ranveer Singh makes his debut in the television industry through a virtual show on colors. Tune to the show! it will be fun seeing Bajirao hosting the show using his sword of magic and charm!
4. Sara Ali Khan to play the lead in Aanand L Rai’s next production ‘Nakhrewali’
5. The birthday of the uncrowned king of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh! A true example of talent. A smile that fosters life, with a heart that loves his beautiful wife.
Various news houses and paparazzi are ready to click the bait and get the news. The only way you want to stay in this business is to be on your toes forever. To create highly engaging content on the internet, one must be aware of what's happening around and be super creative with his/her work. The best posts are the ones that come out of the depth of truth and creativity.
Some examples of articles that I liked are:
1. An article by the Hindustan times (Tapsee Pannu and Vikram Massey)
2. Govinda and Raveena reunite after many years
3. Sonam Kapoor Ahuja says that the pay gap between male and female stars is ridiculous
These are a few articles that I think forged deeper engagement with the audience. The Bollywood industry marks its origin from the 1940s. We have seen actors from Madhubala to Alia Bhatt. Each evergreen in its own way, this industry has given rise to a lot of talents and a source of livelihood to not only actors but writers, directors, musicians, lyricists, and many other professions.
The best thing about Bollywood is that the essence of Indian culture is still alive in the movies. We have a rich cultural heritage and the portrayal of the rich Indian culture through the movies is something really beautiful. But everything has a dark side, amidst the extravagant way of living. There are unequal opportunities in the Bollywood industry.
Whether it be an outsider from a non-filmy background or a female actor, Bollywood is known for unequal pay and discrimination. Also, most Bollywood songs objectify women as a mere prop for the whole scene. That is something that needs to be changed.
Bollywood in recent times has made a lot of progress in terms of movie plots. The latest movies that I have seen and would like to recommend are:
1. Saina - A true story of sheer commitment and dedication towards one’s goal, a must-watch for people who love autobiographies
2. Tribhanga - A tale of a woman who deals with worldly difficulties alone while raising her child. If you are looking for a family drama, this is a movie worth watching.
3. Pagglait - A woman widowed soon after marriage discovers startling the truth about her husband. A comedy-drama with emerging into the discovery of self.
4. Vakeel Saab - The story of a criminal lawyer who helps three young women fight against a molestation case against a rich brat. A suspense thriller dappling with the sense of justice.
5. Gunjan Saxena - A story of a young girl who dares to dream.
Bollywood though having its pros and cons is an industry that has flourished in recent years and will continue to flourish in the future.
Let’s pledge to make the film industry a safe place for future generations,
"Kyuki Babuboshai Zindagi Badi Honi Chahiye Lambi Nahi.."
