I love both Chinese and Italian cuisine a lot and I cook both of them too. The best part of these cuisines is that they have a lot of variety and their flavours are fabulous. I enjoy having cuisines like chilli potato, Manchurian, spring roll, pizza a lot with my friends.
1. Please tell us about your background and journey.
Hi! I am an undergraduate student from Delhi university pursuing computer science (Hons). I am quite fond of photography, blogging, video editing, and graphic designing. Last year in the pandemic I decided to start my food blog where I could use my skills in the right way.
My mom was quite supportive in this as she gave me different ideas for the page and always encouraged me to do better. Initially, I started this page just to try something new but gradually it started giving me motivation which boosted me to do even better as I could see my followers increasing day by day. This year in June I completed 1 year of my page with 3.5k followers. I aspire to grow my page more with all the audience's love and support.
2. Which is your favorite cuisine and dish?
Well, it is not just one, I love both Chinese and Italian cuisine a lot and I cook both of them too. The best part of these cuisines is that they have a lot of variety and their flavors are fabulous. I enjoy having cuisines like chili potato, Manchurian, spring roll, pizza a lot with my friends.
3. Should food blogging be just a passion or can it become a regular career?
Many people pursue it as a passion but I believe if we will put in little effort and widen our vision we can definitely achieve great heights in it. According to me, there are various domains that can be incorporated along with it such as digital marketing, affiliate marketing, graphic designing, and many more.
I have come across various people across the world who are doing great in food blogging by doing research, hosting through their websites/youtube channels. This can also be considered a good option to start a career with.
4. Which restaurants/food joints would you recommend to food lovers?
Delhi is a very happening place which has plenty of restaurants and cafes which can be visited. My personal favorite cafes are Woodbox, Xero Degrees, The Junkyard Cafe. These cafes offer a delightful ambiance along with good quality. The one thing which I like the most is their platting style which is quite unique. This takes them to a different level.
5. What makes you appreciate a particular dish or a restaurant and talk about it on your blog?
I believe that ambiance is the most salient feature that a person observes when visiting a restaurant. The food quality, uniqueness, and hygiene are also the most prominent features which make a restaurant impressive.
6. Is there a dish you particularly associate yourself with?
I think I can associate myself with pizza because it is one dish which I love the most as It has various toppings and a lot of cheese which excites me. I am very fond of uploading pizza pic and stories on my page.
7. Which is your favorite book and why?
Well, I am not a book lover but I enjoyed reading ikigai. It is a Japanese book on the purpose of life that encourages us to discover ours by reflecting on what we find at the intersection of our passion, our mission, our profession, and our vocation.
