India: Seen Through a Youth’s eye.

A Distinct Outlook

This article consists of my outlook towards 2 of the most important sectors of global development of India. The Indian Government never fails to empower the youth of their country and always provides opportunities for them to develop and flourish.

Our government has a lot to say when it comes to the generation of the present, them being the conclusions of a developed future. What kind of India does this youth see? What kind of future does this youth expect to make and to live in?

India’s Constant Attempts to Turn Brain Drain Into Brain Gain

Brain Drain is the Nation’s loss of highly skilled professionals through emigration to developed countries whereas Brain Gain is the return of highly skilled and well-trained emigrants to their home county to take part in the development of nation

India started facing major Brain Drain from 1970’s to 1980’s, and it was not until 1990 that the citizens returned back to their home country to contribute towards the development of their nation.

It is observed over the years, the demand of wanting to study abroad for further studies and wanting to settle there too has seen a sharp increase. But what makes this want constant? What makes the youth of today prefer to move  to a complete strange country for good?

The answer to this might be only one word, ‘opportunities.’  Want is human instinct that can’t be replaced by anything psychologically and the want to want better is what comes into the picture with regard to this case.

I can pursue my studies as well as have the opportunity to start up my own career, reap benefits of better payment scales, improve my strata in the social circle, explore the world, have the freedom I want, and can simply be independent. These are the most basic thoughts that run in the young minds of the new generation

It is important that our country understands and comes to terms with the changing needs and also brings showcases the required amount of attention to the possibility of attaining all of these wants in India itself with the help of developments taking place in the Indian Education System.

It is just that the society looks at a student who has completed his/her studies from abroad as being more highly educated and knowledgeable than someone who has completed the same in India. This thought needs to change.

The positive sides of the Indian Education needs to be brought under the spotlight in order to draw the attention of our youth so as to avoid the high potential  students from flying out of the country for the better good and settle there.

Making of a New and Better India

Conditions in India have undoubtedly improved as compared to the past, but the fact that fast development is possible with the skilled professionals being created in the country itself needs to be emphasised.

Terms like Brain Circulation need to be encouraged amongst the students, where in  both the countries, the destination country and the country of origin, benefit from the movement and migration of the skilled professionals.

Payment scales, too, have improved in India in comparison to the earlier times, empowerment of women in the working sector is much more evident, and the policies created for women and scheduled cast in the work environment have also witnessed a marginal improvement.

But the youth of today is impatient and believes more in Individual development to achieve their goals faster. It is not only that the Government expects from the youth, the youth expects for better placement and learning opportunities form the Government as well.

As long as both of the parties  involved in the vision for a developed India are satisfied with their wants, the faster is the possible  attainment of a gloriously developed India.

India’s Youth Towards the Equality of Women

“Being a woman doesn’t make me weak, it makes me strong enough to deal with the harsh and cruelly biased society and their discrimination based harassment.”

It might seem that the world is progressing to new heights and we are more advanced than before, but with issues like the glass ceiling, unequal pay, skyrocketing cases of sexual violence against women, I think it is safe to say that we, as people have failed our women.

A major downside to this is that we are unable to utilise almost 50% of the world's population up to its full potential. This makes it evidently clear that we are not developing as a society at a favourable pace. If we keep lagging behind in such matters, the progress in all other spheres will inevitably be slow.

Poem: You are a Woman

You are not some toy
to be played with;
You are not some soul
to be broken;
You are not some body
to be messed with;
You are not some stroll
to be forgotten;
You are not some dummy
to be displayed;
You are a woman, an individual of your own.
You are not a bitch
for saying NO;
You are not sly
for being on guard;
You are not a glitch
for throwing a tantrum;
You are not a liar
for being outspoken;
You are not a snitch
for fighting back;
You are woman, who has a voice of her own.
You are not fake
for hiding your secrets;
You are not bossy
to be hardworking;
You are not a pie
for looking attractive;
You are not a sky
to be contaminated;
You are not some access
for being open-minded;
You are a woman, who expresses her opinions.
