Noël Kharman

Doing music in the studio, process is so fun especially when you work with talented people, and I also enjoy live performances a lot, it connects you with your fans and listeners, you can feel their energy, it’s magical.

1. Tell us more about your background and journey.

I started singing at a really young age, and also played piano, the first time I performed in front of people I was only 7 years old, after that I started performing in Local festivals and taking vocal lessons. At the age of 16, I started releasing covers on YouTube. My first mashup was (hello/kefak enta) and it went viral, from that point I took it more professionally.

2. When did you first decide you wanted to be a singer and how did you start?

It happened in a very smooth and natural way I didn’t even think about it, it was just always there. I even don’t see myself doing anything else. My supportive family had a huge role Career-wise, they always motivated me to sing and develop my talent.

3. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced along the way, and how did you respond to them?

My location, the fact that I was born and raised in Israel as a Palestinian, the complexity of my identity was a big problem, it was hard to connect with the Arab world especially that most of my audience is located in the middle east and the Arab Palestinian scene in my hometown is very limited, I moved to Jordan/Amman at the beginning of this year, and it’s been a major step for me.

5. What has been the most memorable moment in your career to date?

Probably the day before hello/kefak enta, when the producer sent me the track to listen to it, I just knew deep down that this one is unique and magical. Also, my concert in Jordan, adding a successful step to my journey, was magical and we had a lot of fun!

6. What is your idea of success or your mantra in life?

To do something that you love, enjoy the process of getting things done just to reach this state of satisfaction of where you are now! Believe in yourself, and learn to never give up, cause the journey is full of ups and downs each time you get up from your downs you succeed. And the one most important thing is your happiness if you are accomplished a lot but you are not happy with it, this is not a success.

7. Outside of singing, do you have any other major interests or passions?

I admire all kinds of Art, I love drawing, dancing, I am very interested in filmmaking and now I study music production besides singing.
