Abhimanyu - I Started My Journey In 2016 When An Impromptu Solo Trip To Spiti Valley Gave Me The Idea Of Documenting And Started My Journey On Social Media (Travel Blogger, India)

I always try to have a positive outlook towards life and share it with others, that and my candid personality has helped me in connecting with people in a better way.

1. Tell us about your upbringing & journey.

I come from a very supportive middle-class family. I have always been good with my academics but for some reason, I was always part of some form of art or event.

I did my first play when I was just 8 years old and since that day I have been part of different forms of art like street play, music band, and dance crews.

By the end of my engineering, I discovered my love for traveling and storytelling. And that's how I started my journey. One key ingredient in this journey was the love and support of my family.

2. When did you start traveling and how did you decide to start your Instagram page?

I started traveling in 2016. By the end of 2017, I had done many treks and decided to share my journey on my Instagram account.

3. What are the best road trips have you taken across the country?

My all-time favorite is a Vanlife expedition across Karnataka and the 4X4 expedition I recently did in Zanskar Ladakh. The road trip across Karnataka was more about living in the van while experiencing local culture. The one in Zanskar was about traveling on roads that aren't even on google maps (literally).

Sit back and enjoy the breathtaking terrains of Ladakh while our chauffeur takes you through this stunning beauty. Avail Savaari's convenient car rental service in Ladakh.

4. What do you think made your content popular?

I always try to have a positive outlook towards life and share it with others, that and my candid personality has helped me in connecting with people in a better way.

5. Which is your favorite travel destination in India and the world?

In India, I'll say Zanskar. That place is out of this world especially for photographers that place is heaven.

I'm yet to travel outside India, for now, Nordic countries are on top of my travel list.

You can now book a Savaari in 2000+ cities and towns across 15 lakh routes in India. Avail the best services on your road trip with Savaari - expert driver, sanitized car and unmatched comfort.

6. Are you someone who likes to take control of the wheel or stay back whilst enjoying the scenic vistas?

I prefer clicking pictures while traveling so yeah, staying back and enjoying the vistas is what I prefer.

7. How can travelers in India boost local tourism and help uplift the hospitality industry?

There are a lot of things that we as a community can do. For starters,

  1. We can promote offbeat locations to spread awareness about other not-so-touristy destinations.
  2. Promote local businesses like local travel companies and trek guides.
  3. We can also promote homestays and other local stay options to spread awareness about local culture.

The overall idea should be to contribute to the local economy wherever you go.

One thing I would like to add is to be aware of our carbon footprint wherever we go. promoting local tourism is important but we must try to minimize the pollution caused by uncontrolled tourism.
