Frankly speaking, there was never any turning point in my life. I always wanted to be a writer. I believe “We all are writers, only you should have the courage to grab a pen. To survive, you must write, that’s what I do.

1. Tell us more about your background and journey.

I did my schooling at DPS Ranchi. That was the budding phase of Social Media. There were very few pages related to Indian writers on Facebook. I started my own page named “Wordsmith” with a handful of followers. I never knew that one day It will be so colossal. The support from readers was tremendous.

Today we are one of the leading bilingual literature platforms in India. We publish short stories, quotes, Shayari, satire, in both English and Hindi.
We are soon coming with our official app and website.

2. When did you decide you wanted to be a writer?

3. Is it a financially stable career?

It’s the sheer misfortune of India that, writing is always treated as a hobby, instead of a career. You can never be financially stable in this career unless you’re too big. There are a lot of new writers who are not getting a chance and striving hard financially. But If you’re determined you can have a very stable career in writing.

4. Who is your favorite writer and why?

I am always fascinated with the lucid writing of JK Rowling, Premchand, Arvind Adiga, Salman Rushdie, and Amish Tripathi.

5. Where does your inspiration lie?

As Dan Poynter says “If you wait for inspiration to write you’re not a writer, you’re a waiter.” If there’s a story that I want to read, but it hasn’t been written yet, then I must write it.”

6. Which is your favorite book and why?

My personal favorite is The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. This book is an excellent example of how a book should be. The plot twists and characters are laid out brilliantly. If you start this book you’d be compelled to finish it in a single sit.
