Making object cakes is not as difficult as it seems. You need to cover and paint in the same color tone of the product.  After clarifying the exact details of the object, it will look like the object you want to make.


Some of our cakes do not stay in one place.  Also, they move :) 

Example; Our drone cake can fly in the air, inflatable swim ring cake or a teddy duck floating in the water, our lamp cake is shining.


Sometimes the technical part of object cakes can be hard. Similarly, the technical parts of the structure systems of life-size cakes can be challenging.


1. Tell us about your background and journey.

I started making cakes 15 years ago. I wanted to make a different cake for my little son's birthday and I wanted to surprise him by turning his favorite toy car into a cake.


At that time, boutique pastry and sugarpaste cakes were not yet common all over the world, and I had no idea how to make a toy car cake. Moreover, social media networks such as Youtube and Instagram did not exist yet. 


I gathered my courage and took my son's toy car in front of me. I prepared cakes of similar sizes to the toy car. I started carving the cakes and looking at his toy. I completed the cake with chocolate and sugarpaste. I was happy with the result, it was an outcome that I could not predict. I clearly remember the word I said after completing it “This is my job”  After my cake was liked so much, I started receiving cake orders from people close to me.


After a while, I won many medals by participating in competitions abroad upon a special offer from the Turkish National Culinary  Federation.




2. What led you to take up this career path?

Before my pastry background, I was interested in many branches of visual arts. The artworks I do most are portraits ,Nature motre, etc. I opened my own exhibition. 


This situation continues in pastry. Because, shaping my dreams in 3D made me more excited. Everything I touch with my hand, observe in nature and the universe can inspire me and I can turn it into a cake. 


That's when I met sugar paste cakes.  I found myself in that wonderful world of edible colorful sugarpaste, food coloring and chocolate. It was a great feeling for me to think that I could make any shape I wanted.




3. What is the most important aspect of making realistic cakes?

The most important thing in making a hyper-realistic cake is to observe very well and analyze the details very well.  After preparing a delicious cake, it is to prepare it with the color tone and exact details of the product to be worked on.


For example, the color difference of a cooked or uncooked vegetable can be adjusted very well.

4. Are these cakes fully edible?

Definitely! All our work is handmade without molds and edible with all its details. It is 100% cake.


We are preparing personalized cakes. These cakes are very different from standard cakes.  


We prepare the inner flavors of the cake with the most special tastes, as well as their external appearance.  We can prepare the cake content in all flavors and aromas requested by our customers.




5. What is the most difficult part in working with these realistic or hyper-realistic cakes?

6. Can baking cakes be learnt through professional courses or a natural talent is required?

I reached my professional level with my achievements in competitions. After the competitions, I received training offers from my country and abroad. Everyone wanted to know how I was doing these works. 


I have prepared a program consisting of my own special techniques and my training program is level to level.


This training program appeals to all people from beginner to professional level.  

Even a person who does not know anything can get successful results by taking these trainings.


I have thousands of students around the world from all levels with this training program.

7. Which is your most memorable cake you made. For whom and why ? 

All my cakes have a special place for me. All my cakes have their own special story.  One of my most interesting cakes when I post on social media is the cake I prepared for the launch of the new model MINI Cooper. 


It took days to build. All its parts and details were worked by reducing them by 1/4 according to their original dimensions. The smallest part is 1mm.  The largest part is 1 meter. 


The design inside is car seat, gear lever, gauges, headlights, etc. I prepared all the content design and all the details as edible, handmade from the cake without a mold.  


In fact, a special openable system was designed for the luggage compartment at the back. When the trunk was opened, I even worked the suitcases made of cake. This was an unforgettable cake for me.


My other cakes are , I can say Crocs slipper cake and Kettle cake.
