Psychological Analysis
The tropes presented in the drama is one which is very stereotypical, the one of boss-employee romance. It is so cliché to see the powerful, rich, handsome and cold CEO be mystified by the simplistic beauty of a girl who no one else finds attractive. It seems that the show is trying too hard to make a unique love story but fails miserably.
The second lead also charms the audience with their sizzling chemistry. They both seem as natural as the lead couple. The supporting cast makes the show memorable with their presence. The drama seems clichéd at times with nosy grandfather, office romance, cold boss-bubbly girl tropes. Nevertheless, it is a rom-com that satisfies that genre but with a little turn off.
Famous Dialogues
“I realized that I was investing too much time into something that’s insignificant.”
“It won’t matter if it’s 2 or 20 years. My feelings will never change.”
“There are some things that get results with a short amount of time, and other things where you risk the losses and stay in it for the long run. It’s difficult to decide how good or bad something is just by how long it takes.”
“We live in two different worlds. The president and I can’t be a couple.”
“If this isn’t a dream, there’s no way you would come running to take care of me like this.”
“When you eat food that you had in the past, you recall all of the happy memories from back then, and it tastes even better.”
“I thought it wouldn’t, but it hurts. It hurts so much.”
“Do you not know what it means to be truly independent? True independence is living off the money you earn yourself.”
The Bottom Line
Like all the K-dramas, this show will also make you swoon over its handsome couple. The ever-lasting chemistry of the leads makes them the right choice for the role. More importantly, the supporting cast must be given its due credit. Tae Moo’s grandfather, Shin Ha-ri’s family and her co-employees add a zest of humour and relativity to the scenes. The show would not be as fun as it looks now.
The drama is very relaxed and chill. There’s no need to put your brain into a frenzy while watching. The show is one of the most popular ones released in 2022. If you are also looking for something to watch after your hectic day, this is the right choice. Grab your favourite drink and some snacks too much and dive into the world of romance.
