In the past three years of the starting of the decade, Novel Corona has played its Trump Card on the health as well as on the life of the people all across the globe. Although the intensity of COVID - 19 has reduced to a certain extent, it has taken its toll and led to drastic and prolonged effects on people.
With the starting phase of lockdown which was imposed on 24th March 2020 and came into effect on 25th March 2020, many things have taken a turn towards the negative side as well as the positive side till now. Let's see how.
How Much Positive And How Much Negative Covid Has Been?
First, let's have a sneak peek at the positive aspect. What positivity did you experience during this lockdown period? The weather appeared to be less polluted, the earth rejuvenated itself, people became more conscious than ever about their health, the communication gap between parents and kids was reduced, and the concept of family was given more importance. People adopted a new normal way of lifestyle. Many of us learned a new skill through online and digital mediums. Coffee lovers made dalgona a trend across the world and so on.
Now, turn your head towards the negative side. What negativity do you feel that grabbed your mind, diverted your attention, and made you restless?! The list is never-ending. Around 5.27 L people died, many children became orphans and homeless at a very tender age, many graduates and post-grads lost their jobs, and many had to stay away from their near and dear ones like doctors not just for weeks but for months so that the risk of spreading the infection does not increase.
Also, a Huge salute to the medical team for acting as covid warriors and saving the lives of many without caring for their own. People who worked abroad could not even see their family members for two years. Nothing is more heartbreaking than this.
More Than Alcohol Covid Is Injurious To Health
Though people were and are very cautious about their health, the Novel Corona has made a detrimental impact on those who were victims of it. It is seen that people who are affected with COVID are found with severe lung damage, difficulty in concentrating, or sleeping, depression, Post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, etc. It also makes the body so weak that there's a frequent feeling of dizziness.
It's true that it is impossible to end this prolonged effect in a minute completely. But slowly and gradually we can reduce its effectiveness. For Example, practicing yoga asanas, leading a healthy lifestyle like eating fruits and green leafy vegetables, improving sleep cycle, and many more.
This appears to be very easy but in practicality, it's not so. Though it will take some time for the body to adapt to a scheduled behavior that does not mean it's impossible to implement it. Slowly and by the body will also learn to adapt to such a schedule just as the way we learn to adapt to the new normal in our life.
The New Normal:- Is It Harmful Or Are We Making It Harmful?
The Novel Corona has also taken its vengeance on the working life of people. While many had lost their job and are struggling to get a new one, others who have their job turned out to be very lazy and lethargic because of working from home. As there is a requirement of working for 8 to 9 hours, employees tend to sit for long hours and at times need to work overtime because of workload.
Thus just sitting for constant 9 hours and then munching on junk food so that you don't get tired of working tends to give the body more relaxation and rest leading to laziness and lethargy.
It not only results in high inactivity but also tends to develop certain diseases like obesity, cholesterol increase because there is no space for physical activities nor the burning of calories takes place because of the amount of consumption of junk food office workers have and especially this consumption increases when you are away from home.
Population Explode: Unprotected Sex A Major Cause Of It
Also, we have seen a high rate of fertility all across the world. Why is it so?! According to psychology reduction in recreational activities leads to an increase in sex. So because of this lack of activity or recreation work, there was an increased rate of fertility. You might say having sex and getting pregnant is not a big deal. Experiencing motherhood and fatherhood is a right of every mother and father.
Yes, it's absolutely correct but one thing everybody should know is that there are two sides to a coin. If one side has pros the other has cons. Increased fertility rate leads to an increase in population thus leading to overpopulation which puts a burden on existing resources.
The government goes under the burden to distribute the resources equally to an ever-increasing population. Obviously, the resources do not get distributed equally to such a large population thus leading to unemployment, poverty, increased mortality rate, starvation, etc.
So is getting pregnant and reproducing a child putting pressure on the population?! No. Not at all until and unless you have a single child or more than one and you are able to feed him or her or both right, being able to educate them, give them a proper living and healthy Lifestyle.
People generally don't understand this and tend to reproduce more kids to whom they can't even feed or care or educate. These kids without any bright future with their life in hollow and dark dingy cells turn out to be a liability for the nation and increase the population load as they don't have a scope to escape or to improve themselves. And even if they want to, they get caught in the vicious cycle of bureaucrats, police, and politicians who don't even want them to get better and enhance.
Conclusion
Lastly, we can try to make small efforts to improve the post Covid conditions of not only ours but also of others. Donating books, pens, and pencils to an unprivileged kid can give him or her a scope to educate, agitate and organize himself or herself, following a healthy schedule can make you a healthier and stronger person and improve your immune, organizing population reduction and birth control campaign can save our existing dying resource.
You might say that individual effort will hardly make a change in society but if each and every individual pool their efforts then obviously there will be a change in society and that will be a lesson to one and all and to the upcoming generation.
