Brawl Stars: Meet Colt, Shelly, Bull And Dozens Of The Original Characters

Brawl Stars since its launch has evolved greatly to become a MOBA game unlike any other. Apart from the gameplay, the smoothness in controlling and attacking enemy brawlers which other MOBAs especially 5v5 MOBAs lack to a certain degree with regards to logical physics in-game, one must also be curious about the creativity of the game, its brawlers, lore and maybe other undiscussed or hidden factors that makes the game extremely famous. These factors may not be important to a majority of the crowd, but it does show how loyal and creative developers are getting just to entertain their audience and attract more target audiences.

Talk about its characters (brawlers), most of their names are reference to some person or objects. Their dialogues are not any sort of dialogues that you get to hear in games like League of Legends (which are just fine) or worse, cringy dialogues in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. Some pun intended dialogues that at times describe their characteristics and associating it to their name or the meaning or history behind their names.

Characters and their references

Let’s start with some of the first characters who were first added in the game.

Colt – This brawler is a typical wild west gunslinger wielding two pistols or revolvers and shooting a barrage of bullets. His name Colt is derived from a 1800s gun manufacturer Colt’s Patent Fire Arms invented and established by businessman Samuel Colt who invented the revolver mechanism. Hence, the name.

Bibi – she is a Base Ball player who smacks her enemies with a Baseball bat and her super is spitting a massive bouncy Bubble gum. Her name Bibi could be made into an acronym BB for Base Ball.

Her name Rosa means rose and since roses have thorns, she too wears a pair of boxing gloves made of rose plant with thorns and also has a successful experiment of providing shielding through a plant that wraps her body. Indeed, she is one successful scientist in botany.

Gale – is an old man who does the cleaning of Mr. P’s hotel with his vacuum cleaner, but he uses it to throw snow waves along with a strong wind or even create a mini tornado with his vacuum cleaner. His name itself means a very strong wind more than a breeze, less than a storm.

Jacky – she is a woman who works at the mines and drills with her jackhammer. She rides on her jackhammer that creates shockwaves on the surface thus dealing damage to her foes. Her name is derived as an alternative for Jack used in the word ‘Jackhammer’.
