I'm Rafay Malik, a 24-year-old digital marketer from Karachi, Pakistan. My journey into the digital realm has been exhilarating. In 2017, I started an Instagram fan page dedicated to Arijit Singh's soulful tunes. What began as a passion project flourished into a community, gathering 10,000 followers by my graduation in Computer Sciences from DHA Suffa University in 2022.

A turning point came when a reel of the song 'Kalank' without music garnered 10+ million views. Realizing the potential beyond Arijit Singh's melodies, I started 'Raymuse' in November 2022—an Instagram account dedicated to music in its purest form. One early post featuring 'Ajab Si' went viral with 14 million views, setting the stage for rapid growth. 

In three weeks, Raymuse gained 50,000 followers, doubling to 100,000 within two months and reaching over 380,000 followers as of January 2024. The journey speaks to the power of authentic expression and the universal language of music.

2. When did you first decide that you wanted to create content and how did you start?

I started creating content in 2022 with a simple desire to share my music taste and emotions. The goal has always been to evoke emotions and give listeners goosebumps through my reels.

3. Is Digital Content creation and YouTube content creation a financially sustainable career?

Yes, digital content creation can be financially sustainable, with revenue sources like ads, sponsorships, and merchandise contributing to success.

4. Who is your favorite creator and why?

I don't have a favorite creator, but I deeply appreciate Shah Rukh Khan. His influence has positively impacted 'Raymuse,' providing a profound understanding of love and emotion, channeled into my reels.

5. How and where do you find inspiration to churn out content?

Inspiration comes from heartfelt messages expressing how my content has moved people. Knowing my work can evoke emotions and bring lightness to hearts motivates me to produce more content.

6. What does your typical day look like?

My day is busy, balancing content creation with my role as a Digital Marketer. Managing clients and a part-time job ensures a dynamic and fulfilling schedule.

7. What is your favorite movie and why?

My favorite movie is 'Kal Ho Naa Ho.' A deep appreciation for SRK's character, Aman, resonates with me. The film's message about what one should do for love and its heartfelt storyline make it impactful.

8. What Inspired you to create these without music versions?

I aimed to showcase Arijit Singh's vocal brilliance, emphasizing the raw talent and emotion in his voice. The goal is to demonstrate that his songs carry even more beauty in a vocals-only version.

9. What piece of advice would you like to give to future and aspiring creators?

Follow your heart, tune out negativity, and align your profession with your passion. If your profession isn't your passion, reconsider your life choices. Trust your instincts; even facing setbacks, you won't regret trying, and your heart will guide you to fulfillment.
