1. Tell us about your background and journey?

As an entrepreneur driven by a passion for innovation and creative ideas, I entered the business world in 2004. With nearly two decades of experience and a proven track record in various ventures, I am committed to transforming ideas into successful businesses.

At Spacewell Ventures Pvt Ltd, as a team, we are devoted to pushing the boundaries of innovation. As the founder, I've had the pleasure of leading a dynamic team in developing cutting-edge solutions in the realm of personalization or customisation. Our mission is to redefine possibilities and create a lasting impact with our interior projects and products, functioning as both an interior contracting company and a manufacturer of wall graphics/coverings. We take pride in being part of some of the largest retail outlets in India, as well as 5-star and 7-star hotels, institutions, and numerous residential projects.

As the Founder of IKRAMAAC Properties, I've played a pivotal role in transforming property aspirations into reality. IKRAMAAC Properties transcends a mere consultancy; it embodies a partnership committed to providing personalised service and delivering exceptional results in the real estate industry. IKRAMAAC Properties operates as a unit within the Spacewell umbrella.

I have been a Rotarian for the past 12+ years, serving as the President for the Rotary year 2021/22 at the Rotary Club of Bangalore Koramangala. Additionally, I am an active member of IFMR (International Fellowship for Motorcycling Rotarians). Beyond my Rotary engagements, I also manage my foundation in Bangalore dedicated to supporting those in need - spacewellfoundation.com.

2. What inspired the creation of IfTab, and how does it contribute to fostering a global community of entrepreneurs, investors, and traders? Can you share some key objectives of IfTab?

I have attended numerous business networking events, but I was unable to derive specific takeaways from any of them. That's when I thought of creating a business platform for self-employed individuals, entrepreneurs, industrialists, and service providers. A platform that can facilitate learning the basics of business, provide motivation, foster collaborations, support bilateral trading, promote positive psychology, and, most importantly, enable effective networking. Aftab - International Forum for Trade and Business is Non-Governmental, Not for Profit organization registered under Section 8.

As IfTab is carving its path to becoming a Super Vendor in the industry with over 1000+ members on board and counting, we are confident that we will be a significant aid in generating and providing new business opportunities to IfTab members.

Furthermore, it's crucial to note that IfTab operates differently from other business groups on platforms like WhatsApp. Presently, our primary mode of communication is through LinkedIn. However, we have strategic plans to transition to our dedicated IfTab business app in the near future.

Vision - IfTab’s Vision is to become the preeminent hub for entrepreneurs, investors, and traders worldwide, empowering individuals to connect, collaborate, and innovate in ways that drive economic growth and prosperity.

3. Callithon.com and Spacewell Islamic Wall Art are unique ventures. What inspired you to start these platforms, and what impact do you aim to create in the fields of calligraphy and Islamic wall art?

For both ventures, I have a common story. During the first lockdown in 2020, a friend reached out to me inquiring about Islamic Wall Art and its availability. As we delved into research, we discovered a substantial demand for Islamic Wall Arts in the market. Simultaneously, we realised the significance of Arabic Calligraphy and our relative distance from it. Based on this research analysis, we decided to organise a Global Arabic Calligraphy Event online.

Thus, Callithon.com was initiated with the vision of creating a platform for both budding and master Calligraphers. Callithon organises Arabic Calligraphy online, attracting over 700 contestants from 21 different countries. To cater to the Islamic art market, we simultaneously launched Spacewell Islamic Wall Arts.

Today, Callithon.com not only organises Arabic Calligraphy events but also collaborates with Rotary Clubs, Schools, and Colleges to conduct Calligraphy competetions in various languages. Our scope has expanded beyond the production of Islamic Wall Art, we now create Wall Art representing all religions and personalize arts.

4. What has been the biggest challenge that you faced and how did you overcome that?

Challenges are an integral part of every business journey. Since the inception of my flooring company in 2004, I've encountered various hurdles such as financial issues, intense business competition, relocating from my hometown (Mysore) to Bangalore, instances of ideas and customers being taken over by our own employees, family concerns, and the delicate balance between family and business - a significant challenge for any entrepreneur.

In the face of these challenges, I've learned to give myself credit, saying, "Wow, you are unique. No one could have navigated this path the way you have, and no one can replicate your journey." I firmly believe that everyone in this world is unique, and there is no copy of anyone else. Being an avid biker, I often embark on long rides to find solace, reflect, and discover the best solutions to my problems. We all need a reset button, we fail, we fall, but we fight to rise again with renewed hope and energy.

In conclusion, my faith and trust in the creator outweigh the challenges I've encountered or am currently facing, both in my personal and business life. Never lose hope, and never doubt your capacity and capabilities.

5. What do you think are the most important qualities of a successful entrepreneur?

First and foremost, we require a vision. To pursue that vision, we need passion. To maintain that passion and persevere in pursuing the vision, we must adapt to the present situation with flexibility and possess the strength to overcome all challenges.

6. What are your tips for first-time and aspiring entrepreneurs?

Have a vision and passion for that vision, coupled with a clear business plan and market research. Plan your finances meticulously, with a backup plan (Plan B) in place. Keep your research active to stay updated about the market and trends within your focus area. Never get disheartened by failures, instead, view them as opportunities for growth.
