Sharleen Dutt - Actress From "Koi Jaye Toh Le Aaye" (Indian Actress)

"My journey into acting has been a constant exploration of myself through the characters I portray. Every role teaches me something new, pushing my boundaries and deepening my passion for storytelling"

1. Can you share a bit about your journey into acting and some of the memorable roles you've played?

My journey into acting began at a very young age, fueled by a deep passion for storytelling and performance. I was fortunate to find opportunities that allowed me to explore and hone my craft. Over the years, I've portrayed a variety of roles, each teaching me something new about myself and my capabilities as an actress. Every character has left an imprint on me, making my journey incredibly fulfilling.

2. You've portrayed a wide range of characters. Which role has been the most challenging for you and why?

The most challenging role I've taken on was that of a Maharani, specifically a 'Totli Maharani,' in a long-running show. This character was demanding because I had to maintain unique mannerisms and speech patterns consistently over an extended period. It became so ingrained that people on set began associating me with the character. Balancing this distinctive portrayal while ensuring it remained authentic and engaging for the audience was a significant challenge.

3. Maintaining fitness is crucial for an actor. What does your fitness routine look like?

Fitness is indeed crucial for an actor. My routine includes a mix of cardio exercises and a healthy diet. Staying active keeps my body agile and prepared for physically demanding roles. Regular workouts are essential to maintain my shape and overall well-being.

4. What's your go-to skincare routine to keep your skin camera-ready?

My skincare routine is simple yet effective. I start my day by cleansing my face, followed by applying toner and moisturizer. Sunscreen is non-negotiable, whether I’m shooting indoors or outdoors. Before applying makeup, I always use an ice pack on my skin, which has been a game changer, keeping my skin fresh and ready for makeup.

5. What has been the most rewarding project you've worked on so far?

The most rewarding project I’ve worked on is my role as a negative character in Koi Jaye Toh Le Aaye, which is set to release this August or September. This character allowed me to explore a different dimension of acting, making the experience truly enriching.

6. If you could work with any director or actor in the future, who would it be and why?

If given the opportunity, I would love to work with directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Anurag Kashyap. Their unique storytelling and direction styles are something I greatly admire. As for actors, working alongside Pankaj Tripathi and Amitabh Bachchan would be a dream come true. Their dedication to the craft is incredibly inspiring. This year, I’ve completed three projects that will be releasing soon. While I can’t reveal the titles just yet, I’m excited for everyone to see them!
