Early Life
Diljit belongs to a very small village called Dosanjh Kalan, in Jalandhar, Punjab. His family was not on very good financial terms, his father worked in roadways and his mother was a homemaker. Diljit has 2 siblings, a sister and a brother.
When Diljit was 10 years old he was sent to the city Ludhiana with his uncle to work. At that age he was not aware what was happening with him, he used to study in school in Ludhiana. Only work he had was to study and used to live in the room alone.
Leaving the home at such an early age and spending hours and hours alone in a room led him to think of music and hence he started composing music.
Shifting to the city was never his choice, which results in breaking of connections from everyone. Thus that phase made him independent and taught him various life lessons.
Relation of Diljit and Music
His life is an inspiration for everyone, as he gets successful in life it is really like a magic that has happened to him. He saw different phases of life when he was 10 years old, and to overcome from all that he learned music, made music his life, and because of music he is at this level of success which is really commendable.
He has made music his life, he stated that whatever he is now is because of the blessings of God and through music. For him music is not just enjoyment, rather it is life for him. He sees everything in music. It is his passion or more than passion which cannot be stated in words.

When he was 16 he launched his first music album and till that age he was performing at weddings locally and learning all new techniques. So from the ground level he started his career on his own.
Interesting fact about him is, he was never asked whether he wanted to live in the city or not. Hence living life on his own terms led his interest towards music.
In 2000 he released his first music album Ishq Da Uda Aida. In these 25 years he has released more than 150 songs. All of them are superhit and people know each of them by heart.
In 2010 he starred in a Punjabi movie Mel Karade Rabba and tried his luck in cinema. Diljit got entry in bollywood through his first movie Udta Punjab in 2016 and till date he has done several movies.
Turning Point in His Life
He was doing great in life, got movies in bollywood, composing superhit songs, and he accomplished his goal but what happened with him, that he changed himself completely.
Till 2020, he was working hard day and night and was living a successful life. But in 2020 all his work took a break and everything got stopped. No work was there for him. He almost settled for that, that he won't be offered any work after that. Whatever he did in life was all of it.
Then he explored yoga and made yoga like a teacher for him. Yoga changed him and brought him again to the real world. His character has been completely changed, as stated by him. He has given yoga a special place in his life, he further stated that whatever he is now, is because of the yoga.

Diljit’s soul is different from others, by saying this I am referring to his character. It is so pure, he has a happy soul. He has no enemies. He accepts everyone with their flaws and strengths. Diljit tries to pass positive vibes and energies, so that whoever is talking to him feels that pure vibes.
He follows the teachings of Guru Nanak and Sikhism. As Sikhism teaches to treat everyone equally. No one is rich or poor, everyone will sit together and eat. Same thing has been followed by Diljit Dosanjh.
