1. You’ve carved a niche as “Your Budget Bestie.” What inspired you to create content focused on affordable beauty and fashion?
I’ve always been passionate about fashion and beauty. However, coming from a middle-class background, I couldn’t always afford the high-end products I saw others using. With limited pocket money, I began researching and discovering affordable alternatives that worked just as well.
That’s when it clicked—I realized many others must be in the same situation. I wanted to help people like me look and feel confident without burning a hole in their pockets. That’s how “Your Budget Bestie” was born.
2. Budget-friendly doesn’t mean boring—and your looks prove that! How do you balance trends with affordability?
For me, it’s all about making smart choices. I keep an eye on the latest trends but always search for budget-friendly versions or creative DIY ways to recreate them. Mixing high-street fashion with affordable beauty products helps me stay stylish without overspending.
I truly believe style isn’t about the price tag—it’s about how confidently you carry yourself.
3. What are some common skincare or makeup mistakes beginners should avoid?
One major mistake is skipping patch tests, especially when trying new skincare products. Not every product suits every skin type—just because something works for someone else doesn’t mean it will work for you.
Another mistake is over-layering products. Sometimes, less is more.
When it comes to makeup, using the wrong foundation shade or not blending properly can really affect the final look. And of course, never forget to remove your makeup before going to bed—your skin will definitely thank you!
4. Walk us through a day in your life as a content creator. What goes into planning, shooting, and editing?
Every day is different, but it usually starts with brainstorming content ideas based on trends, seasons, or audience requests. I spend time scripting or at least visualizing how I want the final video or photo to look.
Then comes the shoot, which can take hours depending on lighting and location. Editing is a whole separate process—and I usually handle it myself because I like adding my personal touch.
It’s definitely a lot of work, but seeing the final result and connecting with my audience makes it all worthwhile.
5. How do you stay authentic in a world where influencer content often feels overly polished or commercialized?
I strongly believe in staying true to who I am. I don’t feel the need to show off or pretend to live a life that isn’t mine. I only share products I genuinely use and love.
In today’s world—where everything is filtered and carefully curated—being real is rare. I try my best to keep that honesty alive in everything I post.
6. You’ve built a strong connection with your audience. Is there a memorable fan moment that touched your heart?
One moment I’ll never forget was when I was traveling in the metro with my dad and someone recognized me. It felt surreal. Growing up, I never imagined something like that would happen. Experiencing it with my father made it even more special.
Also, many of my followers recreate my videos or try out my recommendations. Seeing their versions always makes me incredibly happy. It’s a beautiful reminder of how far I’ve come and how supportive my audience has been throughout this journey.
7. What advice would you give to aspiring budget content creators who don’t know where to start?
Start with what you have and stay consistent. You don’t need fancy equipment or expensive products—just creativity, hard work, and a clear vision.
There will definitely be ups and downs, but if you stay disciplined, keep learning, and don’t give up, growth will follow. And most importantly, always stay true to your voice—that’s what truly makes you stand out.
