Faraz Shams Interview
"I consider my content as it won't give a big laughter but it will bring a smile throughout, and maybe some chuckles. "
Q. How do you introduce yourself today as a physiotherapist, a content creator, or someone who’s still discovering the balance between the two?
I love creating content, but I would never leave Physiotherapy, so I introduce myself as a Sports Physiotherapist, with a line that I also create some content on Instagram. One more reason I introduce myself as a Physiotherapist is that I want to create content on Physiotherapy, too, to raise awareness about health and fitness in our society.Q. Humour is central to your content, but it’s rarely loud or forced. Do you see humour as entertainment, therapy, or quiet resistance against chaos?
I consider my content as it won't give a big laughter but it will bring a smile throughout, and maybe some chuckles. I consider it as comfort content i would say you just enjoy it without using much of your brain. For me and many like me, I can say humour is also a coping mechanism with all the difficulties we are going through in life. So, humour can be entertainment when you are happy and also can be therapy at times when you are sad or fighting something inside you.
Q. What’s one misconception people often have about you after watching your reels?
One misconception people have about me is that they think I must be a loud, extroverted person in real life, which is not true at all. I am very calm, and at least an ambivert person if not an introvert.
Q. Many creators chase virality, but your work often feels slow, intentional, and humane. Was this a conscious decision or something that evolved naturally?
I have creating content for almost 4 years, my reels would go viral, but I didn't have many followers. I kept making content because I love to do that, making people smile, making them laugh. So randomly, one day, I created that review video of Korean lunch, which went viral, and people texted me to make more of such content, so that's what I did. So I guess it was all natural, not a planned or conscious decision.
Q. If your life right now were a reel, what would the caption be -no hashtags allowed?
I would put a sher in the caption "manzil milegi bhatak kar hi sahi, gumrah to wo hain jo ghar se nikle hi nahi".Bio
