Puja Agarwal Interview
Q. Your presence reflects a strong sense of individuality-what core values define who you are today?
For me, everything comes down to intention. I don’t believe in doing things just because they look good-I need to feel genuinely connected to them.Over time, I’ve shaped my life around a few core values: self-love, awareness, and authenticity. Self-love defines how I show up for myself, awareness guides the choices I make, and authenticity shapes how I express who I am.
To me, luxury isn’t about excess-it’s about alignment. It’s about being deeply connected to what feels right, what truly feels like you.
Q. How would you personally define “luxury” beyond material things?
Luxury, to me, is peace.
It’s having the time, clarity, and space to make conscious choices. It’s understanding that you don’t need everything-just the right things.
A quiet morning, a well-crafted piece, fresh flowers in your space-these moments feel far more luxurious than anything loud or excessive. True luxury is when your life feels intentional, not rushed.
Q. Every journey has a starting point-how did yours begin, and what inspired you to step into this space?
My journey didn’t begin with “luxury” in the conventional sense. It started with curiosity-questioning why we buy what we buy, what we truly value, and what actually stands the test of time.Over time, I realised I was naturally drawn to pieces with meaning-craftsmanship, heritage, timeless design, and the stories behind them.
That curiosity gradually evolved into what I now see as conscious luxury-where it’s not just about how something looks, but what it represents.
Q. What does a truly fulfilling and peaceful day in your life look like?
For me, a fulfilling day begins slowly-coffee, soft music in the background, and no sense of urgency. Sometimes it’s simply sitting with a book or spending quiet time with my thoughts. Staying connected to myself-physically, mentally, and emotionally-is essential. Whether it’s yoga, a workout, meditation, or japa mala, these grounding rituals are a non-negotiable part of my day.
As the day unfolds, it’s about meaningful moments-conversations with close friends, shared laughter, and small pauses that bring presence. Watching a beautiful sunset with my loved ones is something I deeply cherish. I like to end the day just as gently-winding down in bed, feeling cozy, and watching a classic film on my projector. For me, fulfillment isn’t about doing more-it’s about doing what truly matters.
Q. What has been a life experience that deeply shaped your outlook or changed the way you see things?
A major shift in my life came when I started choosing myself-not in a selfish way, but in an honest and necessary way. There was a time when I constantly found myself adjusting, proving, and prioritizing others, often at the cost of my own self-worth. That phase taught me the importance of boundaries, self-respect, and not abandoning yourself just to fit in.
It completely reshaped how I view both life and luxury-it became less about seeking validation and more about living in alignment.
Q. How do you handle moments of doubt or pressure while staying true to your own voice?
I pause, I reflect-and sometimes, I allow myself to feel the discomfort fully.
Doubt is inevitable, especially when you choose a path driven by purpose rather than convention. It often comes with questions-whether you’re on the right track, whether you’re doing enough. In those moments, I ground myself through meditation and introspection. I take a step back instead of rushing to fix everything immediately. Having the right support system also makes a difference. My partner and close circle help me reconnect with my clarity when I momentarily lose it.
Beyond that, I return to the basics-I learn, I research, and I stay consistent. Because staying true to your voice isn’t about eliminating doubt-it’s about continuing despite it.
Q. What advice would you give to aspiring individuals who want to build a space for themselves while also staying authentic?
Don’t rush the process of becoming. Take the time to understand what you genuinely like, what you stand for, and what feels natural to you. Authenticity isn’t built overnight-it comes from consistency and self-awareness.
Also, never underestimate the power of simplicity. You don’t need to be loud to be noticed-you just need to be clear.
